Natural leather seals packings can be impregnated to increase the leather’s resistance to abrasion, temperature, and chemicals.
Standard leather seals packing sizes are available from 1/2″ to 36″. Larger sizes are available upon request.
SWKS Seals supplies Vee Packing, or chevron rings, for all industrial applications. They combine to form a cylindrical seal of whatever height you need. The male (bottom) and female (top) parts are made of nylon, while the vee (chevron) is duck and rubber, hytrel, leather or PTFE.
PSI & Temperature Ranges
They can withstand pressure up to 10,000 psi (variable based on the number of vee rings used), temperatures from -35 to 220F, and speeds of 1.5 ft/sec.
Vee Packing Benefits
Vee Packing is a series of rings that combine to form a cylindrical seal. The number of rings in the seal determines the height, which is customized to your application. Generally, the top and bottom rings are nylon, and the interior rings are duck and rubber, PTFE, or another polymer. Vee Packing is flexible and can withstand high pressure and high speed without comprising the seal.
