EPDM Rubber
Apr 24, 2018

EPDM is a copolymer synthesized from ethylene and propylene-based monomers. The rubber molecular chain is divided into two groups based on the composition of the monomer units: ethylene propylene diene rubber and ethylene propylene diene monomer.

Excellent aging resistance, known as "crack-free" rubber.

Excellent chemical resistance.

Excellent water resistance, hot water resistance, and water vapor resistance.

Excellent electrical insulation properties.

Low density and high filling characteristics.

Ethylene propylene rubber has good elasticity and compression deformation resistance.

Not oil resistant.

Curing speed is slow, 3-4 times slower than general synthetic rubber.

Self-adhesiveness and mutual adhesion are very poor, making it difficult to process.

Automotive parts: Including tire sidewalls and sidewall covering strips.

Electrical products: including high, medium and low voltage cable insulation materials.

Industrial products: acid, alkali, ammonia, and oxidizers; hoses and gaskets for various applications; heat-resistant conveyor belts and belts.

Construction materials: rubber products for bridge construction, rubber floor tiles, etc.

Other aspects: Rubber boats, swimming cushions, wetsuits, etc. Its service life is higher than other general purpose rubbers.
